Overview

Holladay City Park is a beautiful, 6.5 acre park in Holladay, Utah with many great amenities including spaces for community gatherings, holiday celebrations, arts and cultural events, sports clubs’ games and practices, weddings, family parties and fitness classes.

When it came time to enhance the park with an inclusive play area, the customer and architect knew they needed a surfacing company that could provide the graphic impact they were looking for. Surface America, with its quality standards and installation capacity, was a perfect fit for their highly graphic vision.

Key Challenges and Solutions

With such a highly complex graphic surface, all communications and interactions with the architect and customer needed to be carefully scheduled and executed to allow for the final graphics to be approved and installed on schedule.

Surface America’s operations team worked very closely with playground equipment supplier Sonntag Recreation, communicating on a daily basis, seeking approvals on all graphics proposed and providing frequent installation progress updates. These initiatives were completed in a timely manner which allowed for continuous installation without any delays.

The end result was an impactful, graphically dynamic play surface for the entire community to enjoy, completed on schedule and on-budget.
